Having just returned from the International Lions Convention in Detroit, I was invited to attend the inauguration of District Governor Lillian Fan and installation of her cabinet officers. Lillian had attended the DG's School and was well equipped to speak with the district as a representative of LCI.
The following morning, I attended the 308-B1 1st Cabinet Meeting. I saw many familiar faces as well as new ones. This was a healthy sign, as new officers could contribute with great enthusiasm, while veteran officers would see that the enthusiasm would not go out of bounds. I reminded them that a cabinet should deliberate and formulate administrative plans and policies affecting the welfare of Lionism in the district.
At the cabinet meeting, I briefed the members on the following: (1) the 43rd MD308 Lions Convention in Malacca on 14-17 April 2005 where DG and VDG would be elected; (2) Policies and constitutions would be adopted. (3) the 43rd OSEAL Forum in Manila on Dec 2-5 2004. (4) the 88th Lions International Convention in Hong Kong on June 27–1 July 2005
